Malaysia resolving serious conflicts

Kuala Lumpur 14 December – Malaysia’s commitment to fight for the human rights of Rohingya were violated by Myanmar under the leadership of Aung San Suu Kyi is an effort that should be lauded.



President of the Association of Human Rights Malaysia Myanmar Ethnic Rohingyas (MERHROM), Zafar Ahmad Abdul Ghani said the conditions faced by the Rohingya since 1962 successfully obscured by Myanmar that none of the world powers are aware of how serious the issue of human rights violations there.

He said Malaysia’s action protest openly against cruelty Myanmar appear to have dealt a blow to world bodies that do not take lightly the issue.

“There was never any Prime Minister and minister of a country’s highest ground to join their gathering peacefully and in solidarity to protest atrocities on Rohingya, but the phenomenon occurred in this blessed land.

“Obviously all the efforts made by Malaysia is not a matter that can be considered to be a warm-baked,” he said when contacted by Utusan Malaysia here today.

He was commenting on a statement by Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the voice and concerns of the public need to be disclosed in the form of measures to help ethnic minority Rohingya Muslims who are victims of the Myanmar military tyranny.

Add Ahmad Zahid, although Malaysia is a small country, but his voice is great need to ensure that the community is now faced with ethnic cleansing in Rakhine given proper defense.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Arakan Rohingya (ERCA) Malaysia. Mohd. Rafique Khairul Bashar said Malaysia’s actions are considered to be the starting point to the rise of world countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh and Turkey to jointly condemned Myanmar’s military atrocities.

“There are other countries which expressed their protest against the cruelty of Myanmar to the Rohingya are not included follow-up.

“However, the situation is different in other states outright protest against Myanmar, people in this country are also featured organized a peaceful rally to show solidarity support to the Rohingya community. Thank you, “he said.
